PENGARUH FOSFOR TERHADAP PENYAKIT BERCAK DAUN CERCOSPORA PADA TANAMAN CABAI RAWIT
Chili pepper is an horticultural plant that is consumed as vegetable fruit and belongs to Family Solanaceae. Leaf spot disease caused by Cercospora capsici is one of the most important diseases infecting chili in Indonesia. Phosphorus (P) is one of the essential macro nutrients that play an important role in various processes of plant life. Phosphorus plays a role in several processes such as photosynthesis, assimilation and plant respiration process. In the implementation of this research, an experiment was conducted and arranged in a Randomized Block Design (RBD), consisting of four treatments and five replications to make 20 experimental units with three pots for each unit resulted in 60 pots for the whole experiment. The treatment was phosphorus dosage consisting of four levels i.e. P1 = 0 g / polybag, P2 = 2 g / polybag, P3 = 4 g / polybag and P4 = 6 g / polybag. Parameters observed in this study were incubation period, cercospora leaf spot diseases intensity on leaf and on fruit. The results showed that the cercospora leaf spot disease symptom firstly appeared 7 days after inoculation while symptom on fruit stalk appeared two weeks after inoculation. The intensity of disease on fruits was fluctuate because the mature fruits were harvested. The highest yield was found in plant treated with 4 g phosphorus / polybag. The increasing dosage of phosphorus did not have significant effect on cercospora leaf spot disease of chili. Keywords : Cercospora leaf spot, Disease intensity, Yield of chili.
