Thalassemia disease and routine treatment for a long period of time in children with thalassemia cause various complications such as enlarged liver and lymph, growth problems, delayed puberty, and heart failure. The continuity of the treatment process and the prevention of complications in children with thalassemia are supported by parents. Parents need to be given a good knowledge therefore they can give a good care for children with thalassemia. One of the interventions to increase parents’ knowledge is through health education, which is delivered through the thalassemia education package with e-booklet media. This study aims to determine the effect of thalassemia education package on parents' knowledge in caring for children with thalassemia. This study used pre-experimental with onegroup pretest-posttest design without control group. The number of samples in this study was 17 parents of children with thalassemia at school age. The sampling used a non-probability sampling with purposive sampling in this study. Parents’ knowledge about caring children with thalassemia is measured using a questionnaire.
