Discussion: Breast milk contains high protein levels which play a role in damaged cells repairing process and helps the healing process of the wound than it helps to accelarated the time of umbilical cord release. Breastmilk topical treatments can also decreased infection signs in the umbilical cord, its because the bacterial colonization of the umbilical cord that is treated using topical breastmilk methods is less than other treatments.
