STUDI KOMPETISI GULMA PADI ANGIN (Oryza rufipogon Griff.) DENGAN TANAMAN PADI (Oryza sativa) MENGGUNAKAN PENDEKATAN SUBSTITUTIF
Direct seed planting system cause an increase in weedy rice (Oryza rufipogon Griff.) populations in tidal paddy fields. Weedy rice can be a threat because they have a morphological appearance that is very similar to rice plants in vegetative phases and a better ability to withstand biotic and abiotic pressures. The purpose of this study was to determine the competition between weedy rice and cultivated rice with replacement series methods. The study was conducted at the Agronomy Greenhouse, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University, Indralaya, Ogan Ilir. It was carried out in September 2019 until January 2020. The experiment design used was a randomized completely block design (RCBD), consisted of 11 treatments and 4 replications. Each replication had 2 sample so that 88 experimental units were obtained. The results showed that weedy rice at P4 (2 rice + 6 weed) more competitive than other treatments and suppress the rice biomass by 32.42%. In P2 (6 rice + 2 weed), weedy rice reduced rice grain biomass by 14.54%. There was a competition between rice and weedy rice in P2 (6 rice + 2 weed) and P3 (4 rice + 4 weed). At P2 (6 rice + 2 weed) rice plants was more dominant in competition than weedy rice and P3 (4 rice + 4 weed) and P4 (2 rice + 6 weed) weedy rice was more dominant in competition than rice plants.
