ANALISIS POTENSI PRODUKSI DAN KENDALA AGRIBISNIS UBI KAYU DI KECAMATAN MARTAPURA KABUPATEN OGAN KOMERING ULU TIMUR
The aims of this research were to: 1) Analyzed the factors that affect cassava productivity in Martapura District, East Ogan Komering Ulu Regency, 2) analyzed the change of tapioca starch price, from the factory level to the price of farmer cassava in Martapura District, East Ogan Komering Ulu Regency, 3) Known the potential production and constraints agribusiness of cassava in Martapura District, East Ogan Komering Ulu Regency. This research was conducted in Martapura District, East Ogan Komering Ulu Regency. The data collection at the study sited in December 2017. The determination of this location was intentionally (purposive), and this research method used the survey method. The sampling technique was used census sampling by taking 24 samples of cassava farmers. The data collected in this research was primary data and secondary data. The results of this research showed that the average cassava production in Martapura District was 25.78 tons/ha. The use of production factors such as seeds and workers were significant, while the area of land, fertilizer, and pesticides did not significantly affect the production of cassava in Martapura district, East Ogan Komering Ulu Regency. The change of cassava prices in Martapura District occurred between the cassava price at the factory level and the farmer level. The analysis showed a positive value, so it concluded that the change of price that occurred in the factory had a positive effect on the cassava price at the farm level. The total usage of cassava in the installed capacity within one year was 73,000 tons/year. Based on the results of the primary data of cassava production in Martapura District amounted to 1,300,667 tons. If divided by installed capacity of 200 tons/day, the cassava production could occupy the installed capacity requirement for 6.5 days. Meanwhile, based on secondary data, cassava production was 19,584 tons, so it could occupy the needs of cassava at an Argo-industry installed capacity for 98 days. As long as the installed capacity is available, it can be the potential to further develop cassava production in Martapura District. The agribusiness constraints in the development of cassava production in Martapura District were seen from 3 sectors, such as the infrastructure (input), production (on farm), and output sectors.
