JUMLAH SEL HETEROKIS Anabaena azollae PADA DAUN AZOLLA YANG DITUMBUHKAN PADA MEDIA TANAH RAWA LEBAK DENGAN BERBAGAI KONSENTRASI NITROGEN DAN FOSFOR
Anabaena azollae is a microorganism symbiotic with Azolla pinnata. A. Azollae have heterocyst cells capable of binding nitrogen (N2) in the air and converting it to ammonium (NH4+). This research aims to determine the influence of various concentrations of N and P in the media of the soil to the number of heterooxic cells in a. Azollae and obtain the best combination of N and P fertilizer in producing the optimum heterocical cells In leaf A. pinnata. This research was conducted in December 2019 to February 2020 at the soil Department of Greenhouse and Laboratory analysis conducted in the Laboratory of Chemistry, biology, and soil fertility, Department of Land, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Sriwijaya, Indralaya. This research uses the complete random design factorial by using two factors. The first factor is dose N fertilizer consists of 4 levels and the second factor is a dose of P fertilizer consists of 3 levels. Of the first and second factors, there are 12 treatment combinations with 3 repeated occurrences. The results of this study showed the dose of N and P fertilizer and its interaction is not real effect on the number of heterochistic cells. The highest number of heterocical cells is in the combination of treatment N 46 mg kg-1 and P2O5 13.8 mg kg-1. In this study also showed that the dose N effect is very noticeable to the pH of the media only at the 0 week (early). The main influences of P and N and P interactions are not apparent to the pH of planting media in all observation periods. Keywords: anabaena azollae , Azolla pinnata, heterocyst cells.
