Background : Psychological problems such as anxiety arise due to chronic kidney disease patients' dependence on hemodialysis which is done for a lifetime. If an individual experiencing anxiety cannot cope with his anxiety in a healthy manner it can lead to maladaptive behavior. Therefore complementary therapies such as lavender aromatherapy and music therapy can be used to reduce the anxiety of patients undergoing hemodialysis. Purpose : Systematic review aims to determine the effectiveness and comparison of lavender aromatherapy and music therapy in reducing anxiety in patients with chronic kidney disease undergoing hemodialysis therapy. Method : Quantitative research with a systematic review approach uses content analysis with search methods using an electronic database. The journal search method uses Google Scholar and Pubmed keywords used in English Lavender aromatheaphy and Music Therapy which is accessed full text by the year 2011-2020. Result : Research obtained from 10 journals related to the Effectiveness of Giving Lavender Aromatherapy and Music Therapy Against Diseases in Patients with Chronic Kidney Disease Underwent Hemodialysis, has been carried out in several countries with different methods. The results of the systematic review explain that 5 literature reviews of lavender aromatherapy are very effective in overcoming anxiety reduction and 2 literature shows that the minimum number of samples in the study is less than the average. As for the 5 literature reviews, the provision of music therapy is very effective in overcoming the level of anxiety level reduction in hemodialysis chronic kidney patients and the minimum number of samples in the study meets the minimum requirements of more than 15 sample. Conclusions : Music therapy is more effective than aromatherapy lavemder in reducing complications in patients with chronic kidney disease. Future studies are expected to determine treatments that support the resolution in patients with chronic kidney disease that refute hemodialysis Keywords : Chronic Kidney Disease, Hemodialysis, Anxiety, Lavender Aromatherapy and Music Therapy.
