This research was descriptive research with qualitative approach. This research aims to describe secondary school students’ mathematical reasoning skills through mathematical modeling learning using visual-formed problem. This research involved 19 seventh grade students of SMPN 6 Indralaya Utara. Data were collected through a test and interview. Results show that learning mathematical modeling using visual-formed problem contributed to students’ mathematical reasoning skills. Percentage of indicator presenting written mathematical questions as much 74,6%, indicator performing mathematical manipulation as much 41,2%, and indicator drawing logical conclusions as much 22,8%. Keywords: Mathematical reasoning skills, learning mathematical modeling, visual-formed problem.
