STUDI EKSPERIMENTAL TURBIN ANGIN KOMBINASI SUMBU VERTIKAL GABUNGAN SAVONIUS-DARREIEUS DENGAN POROS KEMBAR
Indonesia is a country with the fourth largest population in the world. The result of this is the more energy needed to carry out daily activities. Based on data released by the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources in 2018 amounting to 114 MTOE, was dominated by fossil energy. So that the right alternative is needed to meet the future energy supply is environmentally friendly energy, namely renewable energy (EBT). One type of EBT is wind. Wind moves due to pressure differences caused by regulated differences, where the wind moves from an area of high pressure (temperature) to an area of low pressure (temperature). Because wind energy is a type of kinetic energy, a device that can convert this kinetic energy into mechanical energy is needed. The tool is a turbine. The Savonius and Darrieus turbines used in this study are a type of vertical axis wind turbine. In this study, the authors utilized a combination of the Savonius turbine and the Darreius turbine. Basically, the research on the combination of vertical axis wind turbines utilizes the power of Savonius turbine as a starter, after that the power generated by Savonius turbine is ignored because only power produces by the Darrieus turbine. Based on the data obtained, the increase in power at the wind speed of 2.95 m / s is 32.348%, at the wind speed of 3.71 is 29.358% and at 4.38 m / s is 38.392%
