ANALISIS DAMPAK VARIABEL HARGA DAN VARIABEL BUKAN HARGA TERHADAP PERMINTAAN BERAS UNTUK KEBUTUHAN KONSUMSI DI SUMATERA SELATAN
South Sumatra is one of the provinces that produces the largest rice in Indonesia. The objectives of this study are (1) analyzing the effect of various price and non-price variables on rice demand for consumption needs in South Sumatra (2) analyzing the short-term and long-term elasticities of various price and non-price variables on the demand for rice for consumption needs in South Sumatra. The determination of the location of the study was carried out intentionally. The choice of location was carried out with consideration that rice is an important food need for consumption by residents in South Sumatra. Data collected in this study are secondary data. The results of this study are based on a partial statistical test at the 95% confidence level, various price variables, namely the price of sago, the price of chicken meat has no real effect, except for the price of rice which has effect no real and various non-price variables, namely rice availability have effect no real, consumption demand of rice. consumption demand of rice t-1 had no real effect, while the population had a real effect. The short-run and long-run elasticities of various price and non-price variables are inelastic, except for the population's elasticity, both short and long term.
