ANALISIS DISTRIBUSI TEGANGAN, REGANGAN, DAN PERPINDAHAN PADA BEJANA TEKAN LPG TANK T-173 MENGGUNAKAN PERANGKAT LUNAK AUTODESK SIMULATION MECHANICAL 2016
The pressure vessel is a closed container that is widely used in the industrial world today. In gas industry the pressure vessel used is the ball pressure vessel. The analysis was carried out to see the distribution of stress, strain, and displacement as well as the critical area in the LPG Tank T-173 pressure vessel using Autodesk Mechanical Simulation software 2016. The initial step of this research is to conduct a literature study which then creates field data in the form of operating data and data geometry along with material data from the pressure vessel. After the necessary data has been obtained, a design is made using Autodesk Inventor Professional 2016. The design made must be in accordance with the data geometry of the LPG Tank T-173 pressure vessel in order to obtain accurate analysis results. The material used in the LPG Tank T-173 pressure vessel is ASTM A 285 Gr C. After the design is complete, the simulation is carried out using Autodesk Simulation Mechanical 2016 software. The simulation is successful, the stress that occurs is less than the allowable stress (68.3 N/mm2). From the simulation results, the maximum stress value is 4.12611 N/mm2, the minimum stress is 0.000208256 N/mm2, the maximum strain is 2.80141×10-5 mm/mm, the minimum strain is 1.41395×10-5 mm/mm, the displacement is 0.106206 mm, and safety factor of 1.23525. The LPG Tank T-173 pressure vessel can be declared safe when the maximum tension (4.12611 N/mm2) is below the allowable stress (68.3 N/mm2).
