SIMULASI PENGARUH TEMPERATUR TERHADAP KARAKTERISTIK MATERIAL AISI 4340 MENGGUNAKAN SOLIDWORKS
This temperature influence simulation aims to determine the mechanical properties or characteristics of AISI 4340 material using SolidWorks software. The benefits of this research can provide ideas about heat treatment of materials. The method used in this research is the collection of references regarding the simulation of material heat treatment. AISI 4340 material was chosen because it is suitable for enhancing or adjusting its characteristics by heat treatment. The shape used for the simulation is a solid cylinder that has a length of 300 mm and a diameter of 40 mm. The test is carried out 3 (three) times by giving a temperature at one end of the cylinder 100 ° C, 150 ° C, and 200 ° C with a fixed load of 1000 N each time. This simulation was carried out in the Construction Laboratory of the Faculty of Engineering, Department of Mechanical Engineering, Sriwijaya University. The results obtained from the simulation are in the form of values of stress, strain and displacement, from these values can be analyzed the characteristics of the material being tested.
