KONTRIBUSI PENDAPATAN USAHATANI BENGKUANG TERHADAP PENDAPATAN RUMAH TANGGA DI DESA BAKUNG KECAMATAN INDRALAYA UTARA KABUPATEN OGAN ILIR
NURANI AZMILLAH, Jicama Farming Income Contribution To Household Income In Bakung Village North Indralaya District Ogan Ilir Regency (Supervised by DESI ARYANI and ELLY ROSANA). The objectives of this study are : 1) Calculate the total income obtained by farmers yam in Bakung village, North Indralaya District, Ogan Ilir Regency, 2) calculate the yam farming income contribution to the total farmers of household income in Bakung village, North Indralaya District, Ogan Ilir Regency, 3) Understand the yam product marketing Bakung village, North Indralaya District, Ogan Ilir Regency. This study was conducted in Bakung village, North District Indralaya, Ogan Ilir Regency. Data collection was cerried out in September 2018. The method used in this study is the method was survey and sampling method and using the census method for farmers who meet the criteria, the number of samples taken are 25 families. The data obtained consist of primary and secondary data. The results showed that the average total household income is Rp 62.156.048.00 per year with yam farming contribution of Rp 10.156.090.00, details for non-Yam farming income are Rp 42.804.882.00 from rubber farming and cucumber farming amounting to Rp 4.353.076.00 and for other non-farming income is Rp 4.4842.000.00. This showed that non- Yam farming, in this rubber contributes a greater contribution of 68,87 percent while yam farming is only smaller income of 16,34 percent, the contribution from Cucumber farming is 7,00 percent and the contribution from non-farming or other income is 7,79 percent. Total Household income of Rp 62.156.048.00 per year. The contribution of yam farming income to the total household income is 16,34 percent or categorized at low scale. This was due to the cost of seed or seedlings used was purchased from outside the area which were not cheap and affecting the production cost as well as impacting the total income of farmers households. The marketing channels used in yam farming was local merchants where the farmer sent their produces to local merchants and they sell them of consumers. This system is deemed efficient considering the short supply chan and farmers are able to collect decent revenue. Keywords: cultivation, contribution, Jicama, income, marketing channels.
