KARAKTERISTIK FLEXIBLE PAVEMENT HRS WC DENGAN MENGGUNAKAN MATERIAL OLAHAN SERBUK KAYU SEBAGAI BAHAN PENGGANTI ABU BATU (DUST)
Pavement is part of the road in the form of a hard layer, whose function is to safely channel traffic loads to the subgrade. Basically pavement consists of a mixture of fine aggregate, coarse aggregate, filler and asphalt. Pavement is designed based on the needs in the field that are influenced by economic factors, durability and functionality. Minimizing the optimal use of wood that can produce wood waste is one of the policies of the Department of Forestry. However, the reality in the field is generally the yield of the sawmill industry is still in the range of 50-60%, as much as 15-20% consists of sawdust. It is estimated that the amount of sawdust waste in Indonesia is as much as 0.78 million m3 / yr. For large and integrated industries, sawdust waste has been utilized as a form of charcoal briquettes and is sold commercially. But for the small scale industrial sawmills which reach thousands of units and are scattered in rural areas, the waste has not been used optimally. After all aggregate and asphalt tests are made, a mixture composition is made with a specified asphalt content of 8.35%. Based on the results of optimum asphalt levels obtained, then the test specimens were made to obtain the results of the Marshall property in a mixture that uses wood sawdust which states that the use of sawdust is not good enough as an additive from the lataston HRS WC mixture, it can be seen from the Marshal property properties that the HRS lataston WC with the use of sawdust has a smaller value of stability and flow which means the layer cannot withstand the existing traffic load properly and has non-rigid nature.
