ANALISIS KEBERADAAN SALMONELLA SP. PADA KAKI LALAT YANG HINGGAP PADA AYAM POTONG SEBAGAI DETEKSI VEKTOR DIARE DI PASAR INDRALAYA
Fly is one of the insect that is included in the Diptheria Ordo as a mechanical vector of disease transmission. Fly habits to perch in dirty and foul-smelling places like broiler sellers because fly body and feet easily carry pathogenic bacteria one of them is Salmonella sp. The purpose of this study research is to analyze the existence of Salmonella sp. in the fly’s leg on broilers chicken in Indralaya market. Laboratory test results showed that from 10 samples there was 8 samples of flies positively contain the Salmonella sp. The result from univariate analysis showed that the average density of fly on 10 broiler sellers in Indralaya market categorized as the low 8 (80%) and 9 (90%) broiler sellers in Indralaya market have sanitation and personal hygiene did not fulfill the healthy market standard. Waste management facility get percentage of 20,5%, sewage disposal (SPAL) get percentage of 24%, provision of clean water get percentage of 45%, bathroom and toilet get percentage of 21,5%. The conclusion of this study was that hygiene and sanitation in Indralaya market did not fulfill the requirements of Minister of Health Regulation No. 519/Menkes/SK/VI/2008, therefore the higiene and sanitation bad could be a triggers of density of fly and existence of Salmonella sp in the fly’s leg.
