This study aims to describe the socioeconomic changes in Banuayu Village, Rambang Dangku District, Muara Enim Regency in 2000-2015. This research uses a qualitative approach with descriptive qualitative research type. The focus of the study is to examine the causes of socioeconomic changes, socioeconomic changes in that period occurred in the community of Banuayu village, Rambang Dangku District, Muara Enim Regency. The benefits referred to in this research are to elevate the lives of the people of Banuayu Village by being able to develop their economy. The method used is the historical method, as for the steps, namely: heuristic or collecting sources both orally and in writing, criticism of internal and external sources, interpretation, and historiography. To better understand the problem, the writer uses the relevant concept by using the approach of sociology and anthropology. Banuayu Village is one of the villages in Rambang Dangku District which has the highest population and is a village that has economic limitations because it only relies on agricultural products with a traditional system. In 2000 there were changes in the social field, the economy gave people the opportunity to work in the company. This company presence can help the community solve economic problems.
