PENGARUH VARIASI KAMPUH PADA SAMBUNGAN LAS GAS METAL ARC WELDING (GMAW) TERHADAP KEKUATAN PENGELASAN
In the development of technology in the modern era, material connection by welding is found in the manufacture of a prodak / component. Variations in welding splicing are important factors for determining the tensile strength of welding joints. This study aims to find out the comparison of tensile strength of low carbon steel material (BKR), by using GMAW welding with variations of campuh using current of 90 Ampere with 20 V. This research uses experimental method, which is based on research in the form of GMAW welding on BKR material. The results of the research that has been done show that welding variations have a true influence and get different welding strength values, for the highest value is in the variation of campuh V has a tensile test result value with a yield strength of 13.19 kgf / mm2, a uniform strain or ultimate strength of 25.53 kgf / mm2 and a broken voltage of 17.61 kgf / mm2 with the occurrence of a strain of 4.7% on the object of the pull test results. The general conclusion of this study is that BKR welding connection using GMAW welding with V campuh has better connection quality than GMAW welding connection using X and 1/2 V.
