The welding industry is one of the informal sectors that has various potential hazards, one of the hazards in welding is exposure to hand Arm Vibration coming from the grinding process. The amount of vibration grinding machine can increase the risk of Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. The purpose of thi study of Correlation of Mechanical Vibration in Grinding Machine to Complaints Carpal Tunnel Syndrome (CTS) for Workshop Worker in the Cinde Market Palembang. The type of this research is quantitative design with cross sectional approach and using total sampling of 42 welding workshop workers. The diagnosis of Carpal Tunnel Syndrome (CTS) is carried out by physiotherapists using a physical examination with the phalen and tinnel tests.
