OPTIMALISASI KINERJA REAKTOR BIOGAS DENGAN SISTEM KONTINYU MELALUI PURIFIKASI BIOGAS MENGGUNAKAN ZEOLIT
Continuous energy needs will certainly reduce the amount of energy found in nature, therefore the need for renewable energy (EBT) such as the use of cattle dung into biogas. This study aims to study the effect of zeolite density on the biogas purification process. The research method used is the Completely Randomized Design (CRD) method. This study used three treatments with different zeolite densities, namely 0.1 gr.cm-3 (Pzeo1), 0.2 g.cm-3 (Pzeo2) treatment, and 0.3 g.cm-³ (Pzeo3) treatment, each of which carried out five repetition times. The parameters measured are the amount of methane concentration (ppm) in biogas before and after purification and the proportion of gas content in biogas (%). Based on the results obtained by the third treatment zeolite density of 0.3 g.cm-3 can increase the value of methane concentration by 405 % with a total concentration of 9.15 % and reduce the concentration of CO₂ by 60% with a total concentration of 0.16 %. It can be concluded that the most effective treatment from this study is the third treatment because it is able to increase the concentration of CH₄ and reduce the concentration of CO₂ more than the first and second treatments. Keywords: Biogas, zeolite, CH4, CO₂
