Breast milk is the right food and drink for babies because it contains white blood cells, proteins and immune substances that are suitable for babies. breastfeeding only to infants up to 6 months of age without the addition of fluids or other food, breast milk can be given to infants up to 2 years of age. Factors that influence exclusive breastfeeding include the level of parental knowledge. One effort to improve mother's knowledge is nutrition counseling. One of the media used in counseling is infinity cube media. The advantage of props or infinity cube media is that it does not require electricity, is economical, provides concise and practical information. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the use of Infinity Cube media and lecture methods to increase the knowledge of pregnant women about exclusive breastfeeding in the work area of the 23 Ilir Puskesmas Palembang City in 2019. The research method is quantitative with the Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Data were analyzed univariately and bivariately using dependent and independent t-test. The results show that education with infinity cube media and lecture method significantly influence the increase of knowledge of pregnant women (p-value = 0,000) and there is a difference in the average score of knowledge of pregnant women regarding exclusive breastfeeding between infinity cube media and lecture method (p-value = 0,000 ). Based on the results it was concluded, that the use of infinity cube media was more effective in increasing the knowledge of pregnant women regarding exclusive breastfeeding compared to the lecture method.
