This study is entitled "Development Social and Economic of Prabumulih Pineapple Farmers in the Period of 2004-2012" This research has three problem formulations, namely: How the Social and Economic Development of Prabumulih Pineapple Farmers in the 2004-2012 Period, What Is the Life Level of Pineapple Farmers in Prabumulih City Time 2004-2012, and How the Role of the Government of the City of Prabumulih in the Conservation of Pineapple as a Symbol of the City of Prabumulih. The purpose of this study is to explain the social and economic development of pineapple farmers in the period of 2004-2012, explain how the life standard of pineapple farmers in the period 2004-2012, and explain how the role of the government to continue to preserve pineapple plants that become Kota Prabumulih symbol. The method used in this study is a historical method with steps: heuristics, source criticism, interpretation, historiography and in-depth interviews with community leaders in the City of Prabumulih. while the approach used is a social approach, and economic. Based on the results of the study it was found that the social aspects in this study include educational institutions, family life and cultural life, while the economic aspects observed are the results of the existence of pineapple farming such as increased livelihoods for the community and increased community income.
