This research aims to explain the factors that cause exploitation of street children (case study of buskers and beggars) in Pasar 16 of Palembang. The study uses a qualitative descriptive approach. With the respondents numbered four people. The data collection techniques used are documentation, interviews and observations. Data analysis techniques used are data reduction, data presentation and withdrawal of conclusions. The validity tests of the data used include credibility test, transferability test, dependability Test, and confirmability test. The results proved that the factors causing exploitation of street children especially on buskers and beggars in market 16 Kota Palembang include three factors as follows: 1. Low family economic level (poverty), it is proven With the income of their parents erratically in the month plus the difficulty of fulfilling the needs of the family in daily and the burden of dependents relatively many families. 2. Social or peer environmental factors, in this factor explains that the cause of descent to the streets is in the influence of the factor of play friends or the surrounding environment. 3. The lack of harmony of the parents ' household life (broken home), in this factor explains that the child who lacks the affection of his parents can make them street children as buskers and beggars. The advice in research for the government is to pay attention to street children in general and to conduct related socialization about the dangers of being street children and for parents to be able to carry out their obligations as parents and pay attention and Giving compassion for the child to have a bright and brilliant future in order to cope with community life.
