Study the effect of pressure and temperature of the preparation of MEA with membrane nafion 212 on the performance of MEA clicking using the catalyst Pt/C on both sides of the electrode has been done. MEA is made of two electrodes from the anode and cathode coated with the Pt/C catalyst and attached to both sides of the membrane nafion 212. The MEAs were made at pressing temperatures and pressures vary tested its performance. Electrodes were characterized using the CV method to obtain ECSA values and the EIS method to obtain electrical conductivity data . Based on the resulting CV data information, the ECSA value of the Pt/C electrode is 2.657 cm2/g. Test the conductivity of electrically electrode obtained results that the electrode Pt/C has a value of conductivity of 2.36 x 10-2 S cm. Value OCV highest in the variation of pressure MEA with the temperature constant 135°C is shown in pressure of 2200 psi at 0.137 V . Value OCV highest on the variation of temperature presses an MEA with pressure optimum 2200 psi shown at a temperature of 145°C of 0.32 V. The pressure of 2200 psi is the optimum pressure for MEA performance testing with a maximum power density of 1.447 mW/cm2 at a current density of 12.16 mA/cm2. While it is, variations in the temperature of 145°C is a temperature optimum at pressure of 2200 psi with a density of power maximum of 4.13 mW/cm2 at a density current 13.28 mA/cm2. In addition to the influence of the power density of the I-P performance curve, MEA performance can be seen from the I-V performance curve. The curve I-V performance that is good is the curve of the most gentle, which means to have the ability to maintain the voltage as the increased flow. The highest voltage value at the MEA pressure variation is 2200 psi at 1.447 V at a current density of 12.16 mA/cm2, while the highest voltage value at the MEA temperature variation is 145°C at 4.1301 V at a current density of 13.28 mA/cm2.
