PENGARUH MODEL PEMBELAJARAN LEARNING CYCLE 7E TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN MENULIS TEKS BERITA SISWA KELAS VIII SMP NEGERI 1 INDRALAYA
This study aims to determine the influence of Learning Cycle 7E learning model on the ability to write news text for eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Indralaya. This research method is a quasi-experimental method. This research was conducted in two classes, namely class VIII.4 and VIII.7. Class VIII.4 is a cotrol class with a total of 32 students who are treated using a conventional model. Meanwhiel, class VIII.7 was an experimental class with 32 students who were treated using the learning cycle 7e model. Data collection techniques used test techniques, while data processing techniques used statistical test namelay the t-test with the SPSS 25 program. Of the seven phases of learning cycle 7e model, the explore phase is a phase that can further increase the creatvity of the experimental class students in writing news texts. The results of this study are there are differences in the average value between the experimental class and the control class. The average score of the initial test of the experimental class is 57,66 and the average score ofthe final test is 77,66. Acquisition of the average value of the initial test control class is 50,94 and the average acquisition value of the final test is 68,12. The results showed that the increase in the experimental class was greater than the control class. T-test result show that the value with df (62) with a significance level of 95% ( =0,025). t count (5,084) > t table (1,999) then Ho is rejected, this means that there are significant differences between the experimental class and the control class. Thus, it was concluded that there was an influence of Learning Cycle 7E learning model on the ability to write news text for eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Indralaya.
