PREPARASI DAN KARAKTERISASI BIOBRIKET TANDAN KOSONG KELAPA SAWIT BERDASARKAN VARIASI WAKTU DAN TEMPERATUR KARBONISASI DENGAN PEREKAT CAMPURAN KULIT PISANG KEPOK DAN TAPIOKA
The aims of this research to evaluate the effect of carbonization time and temperature on biobriquette quality with kepok banana peel and tapioca adhesives according to SNI quality. This research was conducted through the carbonization process with temperature variations of 400, 500, 600oC and variations in the time of carbonization, namely 30, 60 and 90 minutes. The results showed that the quality of biobriquette with carbonization duration of 90 minutes and temperature of 600oC had the highest heating value 10837.4 Cal/g, water content 6.77%, ash content 20.52%, volatile matter content 53.98% and carbon content 18.73%. Compared to SNI 01-6235-2000 the calor value is produced at the conditions of water content, ash content, volatile matter content and the best carbon content in accordance with the standard. Ash content, volatile matter content and carbon content of biobriquettes have not met the standards, while for the water content of all biobriquettes meet SNI except at carbonization temperature of 400oC with carbonization time of 30 minutes.
