The purpose of this study was to measure students' understanding at Palembang 3 Public High School about the dangers of drug abuse. The instrument used was a test for understanding drug abuse with a Gutman measurement scale. This research is a quantitative research with a descriptive design. Subjects involved in this study were all students of class XI of SMA Negeri 3 Palembang totaling 100 respondents. Data collection techniques use an understanding test tool about the dangers of drug abuse, which is spread through google forms. Data analysis uses percentage formulas. Based on data analysis, the dominant medium level percentage is 55%. In general it can be concluded that the understanding of students in Palembang 3 Public High School about the dangers of drug abuse are in the moderate category.
