HUBUNGAN FAKTOR-FAKTOR SANITASI RUMAH TANGGA DENGAN KEJADIAN DIARE PADA BALITA DI WILAYAH KERJA PUSKESMAS PAMPANGAN KABUPATEN OGAN KOMERING ILIR
Diarrhea is still the ten most diseases in the working area of the Pampangan Health Center. The incidence rate of diarrhea in the working area of Pampangan Health Center in 2016 was 26.2% per 1000 children under five to 45.8% per 1000 children in 2018. This study aims to analyze the relationship of household sanitation with the incidence of diarrhea in infants. This study used a cross sectional study design, sampels were taken using simple random sampling technique. The number of sampels were 90 mothers of children under five in the working area of the Pampangan Health Center who had met the inclusion and exclusion criteria. The data can be processed using the SPSS program. Data analysis was carried out in stages, namely univariate analysis and bivariate analysis using the chi-square test. The results show that there is a relationship between the habit of washing one's hands (p-value 0,000), the condition of sewerage (p-value 0.028) and the provision of garbage boxes (p-value 0.043) with the incidence of diarrhea in infants in the working area of Pampangan Health Center. There is no relationship between the condition of the family toilet (p-value 0.065) and clean water supply (p-value 0.409) with the incidence of diarrhea in infants. It was concluded that the habit of mothers washing their hands and household sanitation have a relationship with the prevalence of diarrhea in infants. Researchers suggest counseling mothers of toddlers about diarrhea and its prevention. Forming village health cadres, implementing clean and healthy lifestyles in the family structure, and improving the components of home sanitation in accordance with health standards.
