This study aims to (1) describe the results of the analysis of the needs of students and teachers for learning media for understanding news texts based on the autoplay media studio application, (2) describe the design of learning media for understanding news text based on the autoplay media studio application, and (3) describe the results of expert validation. on learning media for understanding news texts based on the autoplay media studio application. The method in this study uses a modified Alessi & Trollip model. Data collection techniques used questionnaires, interviews, and validation assessment sheets. Based on the results of the needs analysis, it is necessary to develop learning media to support students' understanding of the news text material. The design of learning media based on the autoplay media studio application consists of: login, main menu, instructions for use, core competencies and basic competencies, learning objectives, menu material, sample news, evaluation questions, quizzes, and profiles. The validation results obtained from the media expert validator were 29 with a percentage of 90.6% (very feasible). The results of the content / material expert validation obtained a value of 22 with a percentage of 78.5% (feasible). The results of the linguist validation obtained a value of 26 with a percentage of 81.2% (feasible). The overall result of the expert assessment of learning media understanding news text based on the autoplay media studio application obtained a score of 77 with a percentage of 83.7% (very feasible).
