PREPARASI KARBON DOTS DARI BINCHOTAN KAYU PELAWAN (Tristaniopsis merguensis) DAN APLIKASINYA PADA BATERAI ION LITHIUM
A research had been carried out on the preparation of carbon dots from binchotan pelawan wood (Tristaniopsis merguensis) with top-down synthesis method using the process of eletrolysis and sonication by varying the type of electrolyte, concentration and voltage. Carbon dots were characterized using SEM and XRD. SEM images of carbon dots prepared by H3PO4 and H2SO4 14 M 18 volt showed morphology in the shape of round spots like small aggregate having size 150 - 400 nm. The diffraction peaks of the carbon dots are at an angle of 2θ = 24.7º and 24.43º and have low-grade crystalline structure. Carbon dots was used to prepare electrodes for lithium ion batteries. The battery performance with carbon dots electrode was tested by CV and galvanostatic. The voltammogram shows that the reduction and oxidation on lithium ion batteries, which is a peak at the cathode and anode currents. The best performance is a battery that uses carbon dots electrolyte H2SO4 14 M 18 volts that is the voltage of 1.2434 volts and a current of 0.1 A. From the value of the voltage and current, the energy and power values can be calculated, the highest energy and power values are indicated by the battery carbon dots H2SO4 8 M 9 volts with an energy value of 0.001 Wh and a power value of 0.0328 W. The best of galvanostatic discharge slope appears on batteries that has a small discarge value and shows a low slope line, that is -0.0016 lithium ion battery carbon dots H3PO4 14 M and H2SO4 14 M 18 volt.
