This study aims to determine the role of sexism, hostile sexism and benevolent sexism on rape myth acceptance in the Ogan Ilir community. The research hypothesis is the role of sexism, hostile sexism and benevolent sexism on rape myth acceptance. The population of this study was Ogan Ilir community with unknown age range from adolescents – adults. The research sample was 150 person and for the try out was 60 person. Data analysis uses simple linear regression. The results of the regression analysis showed sexism – rape myth acceptance (R = 0.302, R square = 0,091, F = 14.878, P = 0,000), hostile sexism – rape myth acceptance (R = 0.285, R square = 0,081, F = 13.109, P = 0,000), benevolent sexism – rape myth acceptance (R = 0.232, R square = 0,054, F = 8.400, P = 0,004). Thus, the hypothesis in this study was accepted.
