This study aims to reveal the values of local wisdom contained in the collection of Kayuagung folk tales. To obtain these results, analytical descriptive methods were used and were analyzed with the theory of the values of local wisdom of Robert Sibarani. The data source was obtained from a book entitled "Collection of Synopsis of Tari and Folk Stories of Kayuagung" written by Yuslizal, the first printed in 2013 published by the Office of Tourism and Culture of Ogan Komering Ilir Regency. The results of the research are the values of local wisdom in a collection of Kayuagung folk tales, namely: hard work, cultural preservation and creativity, education, discipline, mutual cooperation, harmony and conflict resolution, politeness and commitment. The results of this study can be used as learning materials in schools, especially literary appreciation learning in class VIII SMP/MTs, and class X SMA/MA/SMK/MAK.
