POTENSI EKSTRAK ETANOL KULIT BATANG MATOA (Pometia pinnata) SEBAGAI ANTIHIPERLIPIDEMIA PADA TIKUS PUTIH JANTAN GALUR WISTAR YANG DIINDUKSI PROPILTIOURASIL
Hyperlipidemia is a cardiovascular disease with a very high risk of death. One of the traditional medicines that have an effect as an antihyperlipidemia is matoa bark which contains flavonoids, tannins, triterpenoids and saponins. This study aims to determine the antihyperlipidemia effect found in the bark of the matoa stem against decreasing levels of total cholesterol, LDL (Low Density Lipoprotein) and triglycerides. Wistar strain male rats were divided into five groups namely positive control (simvastatin 0.193 mg / KgBB), negative control (NaCMC 0.5%), and three treatment groups of ethanol extract of matoa bark at 100 mg / KgBB, 200 mg / KgBB, and 400 mg / kg. Mice were given an induction of high-fat supplement and propylthiouracil for 14 days to reach the target of hyperlipidemia, then extract was given on the next 14 days. The results showed that ethanol extract of matoa bark at a dose of 400 mg / KgBB could significantly reduce total cholesterol, LDL and triglyceride levels by 28.64 ± 6.50 mg / dL, 20.94 ± 0.31 mg / dL, and 46.25 ± 0.21 mg / dL. This shows that the ethanol extract of matoa bark has antihyperlipidemia activity and there is a significant difference compared to the negative control group. The ED50 value of ethanol extract of matoa bark is 308.80 mg /KgBB.
