PENDUGAAN BIOMASSA,CADANGAN KARBON DAN SERAPAN KARBONDIOKSIDA Kandelia candel (L.)Druce DI KAWASAN RESORT SUNGSANG TAMAN NASIONAL SEMBILANG SUMATERA SELATAN
Climate change on earth occurs due to an increase in the concentration of greenhouse gases containing carbon dioxide which can increase temperatures on the earth such as melting of ice at the north and south poles so that an increase in sea level, this will improve the balance of the ecosystem. One of the efforts in tackling global climate change is by increasing carbon dioxide uptake. The purpose of this study was to calculate the amount of biomass, carbon stock and carbon dioxide uptake in the stand of K. candel (L.) Druce in the Sungsang Resort area of Sembilang National Park. Determination of the selection station using the Purposive Sampling method. Sampling was done by destructive sampling method and Line Transect method. Measured circumference of the stem of K. candel (L.) Druce Each plot with a meter tape at an altitude of 1,3 m from the topmost roots. Converted to stem diameter, with a diameter range of K. candel (L.) Druce ≥ 5 cm. Calculated and recorded the type and number of individual K. candel (L.) Druce in plots along the transect line. Calculated and recorded parameters Each observation station uses a tool that has been prepared. K. candel (L.) Druce in the Sungsang Resort area of TNS has a required biomass value of 9,261 tons/ha, a carbon stock value of 4,260 tons/ha and a carbon sequestration value of 15,634 tons CO2/ha.
