This study aims to determine how the social interaction between Komering and Javanese culture in the process of marriage and the livelihoods of the population in Jati Baru Martapura Village. This research uses descriptive quantitative type. The resource persons of this research are the Locals and Migrants, the Head of RT in Martapura Hamlet and Traditional Figure. Data collection methods used are structured interviews. The results showed that in the Jati Baru Village social-cultural interaction occurred in the local population with migrants through social interaction. Jati Baru Village was also a destination for migration by Javanese migrants who then socio-cultural interactions occurred at the local population. This socio-cultural interaction is seen in the culture of marriage and livelihoods in local and migrant populations. Interactions that occur in marriage are dissociative or cultural opposition / rejection in several marriage processions and associative interactions or cooperation between local residents and migrants in processing agricultural land until the harvest stage. The successful interaction process saw an understanding of the two communities both while running a marriage culture and working as a rice farmer.
