KEMAMPUAN NUMERASI SISWA KELAS VII DALAM MENYELESAIKAN SOAL TIPE HOTS PADA MATERI OPERASI HITUNG BILANGAN BULAT
This research is a descriptive qualitative study that aims to describe the numeracy skills of class VII students ability in solving the higher order thinking skills type questions of integer arithmetic operations. The subjects of this research are 3 students of class VII.1 SMP Negeri 2 Muara Enim. This study used data analysis techniques in the form of tests, namely three questions the higher order thinking skills type questions and interviews to obtain more in-depth data. The results of this study indicate that indicators of numeracy skills that often appear are indicators that use a variety of numbers and symbols, where these indicators appear at each student's level of ability. Meanwhile, indicators that appear very rarely are indicators that interpret the results of analysis to predict and make decisions. Where this indicator only appears at the high level of student ability. This causal indicator rarely appears because most students ignore the relationship between being asked and known and most students also cannot provide valid reasons for their answers.
