The purpose of this study were to 1) measure the level of farmer participation in certified rice seed breeding, 2) identify and measure farmer behavior in certified rice seed breeding, 3) calculate farmers' income in conducting certified rice seed breeding activities, 4) analyze the relationship between participation and farmer behavior towards farmer income in certified rice seed breeding activities.This research was held in Sako Village, Rambutan District, Banyuasin Regency. Data collection at the research location was carried out in April 2019. The research method used was a survey method by taking a sample of the population of certified rice seed breeders in the village using a questionnaire as a data collection tool. The sampling method used was the simple random method by taking 35 samples from 170 populations of rice seed breeders. The data collected in this study are primary and secondary data. Based on the research results, farmer participation is included in the medium criteria with a score of 27.54. Farmer behavior is classified as high criteria with a score of 170.77. The average income of farmers from rice seed breeding is IDR 39,129,083, - / lg / mt. There is a relationship between farmer participation and behavior with the calculated z value> z table, namely 3.13> 0.283. Then there is a relationship between participation and income with a value of 2.78> 0.283, and there is a relationship between behavior and farmer income with a value of 2.49> 0.283..
