PENGEMBANGAN CERITA PENDEK BERBASIS SEJARAH MELAYU VERSI W.G. SHELLABEAR UNTUK MAHASISWA PENDIDIKAN BAHASA DAN SASTRA INDONESIA UNIVERSITAS SRIWIJAYA DAN IMPLIKASINYA DALAM PEMBELAJARAN SASTRA
The purpose of this study was to develop a research product in the form of a short story based on the text-based Malay History version of W.G ShellaBear for college students of Indonesian Language and Literature Education, Sriwijaya University. The research method used is research and development using the steps from Borg and Gall. W.G ShellaBear's version of the short story based on the Malay History text was developed based on the results of the analysis of the needs of students, namely 49 people (69, 55%) of 29 respondents agreed with the development of short stories based on Malay History texts. The initial design of the short story by the writer began by modifying the plot / plot of the story, sharpening the conflict in the story, and using Indonesian and Malay so that the story was more interesting and easier to understand by readers. The results of the content / material expert validation were declared feasible (82.19%) with a score of 23 from a maximum score of 28. The results of the linguist validation were declared very feasible (91.7%) with a score of 22 from a maximum score of 24. Meanwhile feasible (95%) with a score of 19 out of a maximum score of 20. The implication of this study for literature learning is Old Literature Prose courses. Keywords: Development, short stories, Malay History texts
