ANALISIS DAMPAK SHIFT KERJA PADA PEKERJA OPERATOR DI POWER HOUSE PT INDONESIA POWER UNIT PEMBANGKITAN SAGULING
echnoligical advancement and industrial development requires companies to regenerate and try to intensify production results in large order to be able to contend with other industries, to do this it is not rarely for companies to increase work time for workers. Through implementing a shift system policy, but in the implementation of shift work is more risky than non-shift work time. This study aims to analyze the impact of shifts resulting from shift patterns used at PT Indonesia Power (UP) Saguling which uses a three shift system with night, day and morning patterns by reviewing physiological, psychological, performance, and domestic and social aspects. This research is a qualitative study, using in-depth interviews and observations of the usual informants eight operator workers, and key informants are one senior operator supervisor, and one head of staff. From the results of the study found that workers object to the shift pattern that is applied with a little rest time available, workers experience interference with the circadian rhythm that affects the disruption of sleep patterns and time of irregular workers and some experience interference with digestion (diarrhea) after doing the night shift. Workers also experience work stress due to boredom, as well as feeling excessive pressure and anxiety when the generator engine is having trouble, in addition to the shift pattern applied by workers also complaining about the disruption of their interactive relationship with the social environment outside of work, but operator workers do not feel the current shift pattern interferes with their daily performance. It can be conclution by the aplication of shift patterns impacting on the physiological, psycological, and sosial, however not affect the performance of workers, Therefore the company needs to change the shift pattern with a two shift pattern which can make a longer rest period.
