The population of the elderly in Indonesia increases with the increase of life expectancy. The increasing population of older people can be positive impact if they are productive or it can be a burden if the they are depend on others. Elderly who experience physical disabilities can be influenced by various factors, including depression. This study aimed to analyse the relationship between depression and physical disabilities among the elderly in Indonesia. This research used the cross-sectional secondary data Indonesian Basic Health Survey 2018 (Riskesdas 2018) with the multi-stage sampling technique. The sample in this study were 58844 elderly who meet the inclusion criteria which is at the age >60 years and answer questions about depression and physical disability. The bivariate analysis was done by using Chi-Square test and the multivariate by using Double Regression logistic risk factor model. The results revealed that 25,7% of elderly people experienced the physical disabilities.
