EFISIENSI PENGGUNAAN PUPUK KALIUM DENGAN PENAMBAHAN BIOCHAR CANGKANG KELAPA SAWIT TERHADAP PERTUMBUHAN DAN HASIL TANAMAN BAWANG MERAH (Allium ascalonicum L.) VARIETAS BIMA BREBES
NETA NURDIANI, Efficiency of K Fertilizer Use By Applying Oil Palm Shell Biochar On The Growth And Yield Of The Bima Brebes Variety Of Shallots (Allium Ascalonicum L.)(Supervised by SUSILAWATI and MARIA FITRIANA) The research aimed to evaluate the efficiency of K fertilizer use by applying oil palm shell biochar on the growth and yield of the bima brebes variety of shallots. The research was conducted from February to May 2020 at the experimental farm of the Agricultural Faculty, Sriwijaya University, Indralaya, Ogan Ilir, South Sumatera. The research used factorial randomized completely block design with 2 factors, the first factor was K fertilizer and the second factor was biochar. The K fertilizer consisted of K0 = 2,08 g plant-1 , K1 = 1,66 g plant-1, K2 = 1,25 g plant-1, and K3 = 0,83 g plant-1, and the second factor was biochar dosages, it consisted of B0 = kontrol, B1 = 51 g plant-1, B2 =102 g plant-1, and B3 = 153 g plant-1. The result showed that potassium treatment with a dose of 0,833 g polybag-1 gave the best results for onion plant growth with parameters of plant height (24,94 cm), tuber diameter (6,20 mm), tuber fresh weight (7,36 g), and tuber dry weight (5,04 g). In the biochar treatment, the best result was found in the treatment of 153 g polybag-1 of biochar. For the best combination of treatment was treatment 1,25 g K plant-1and 153 g polybag-1 on the number of tillers (5,17), tuber fresh weight per clump (9,45 g), tuber dry weight per clump (5,95 g). Oil palm shell biochar can make potassium fertilizer more efficient, the higher the biochar was given, the higher the efficiency of potassium fertilizer.
