The blue swimming crab (Portunus pelagicus) is an important global fisheries resource because it has a high export value. The purpose of this study is to identify the biology of the blue swimming crab in the Banyuasin Estuary. Samples were taken in November and December 2019 consisting of 7 trips with a bottom gill net. This study is an exploratory research where the sampling site is determined by fishing ground methode. This reseach uses the method of biological analysis. The results showed that 210 comparison of male and female sex ratios is 1:1.3. Growth pattern in female crabs are allometric negative and male isometric. The highest percentage of gonad maturity at 37.82% with highest condition factor was found in the blue swimming crab carrying eggs. The value of male blue swimming crab condition factor decreases with increasing carapace size.
