AKTIVITAS ANTIOKSIDAN DAUN BENALU JENGKOL [Scurrula ferruginea (Jack) Danser]
Jengkol mistletoe [Scurrula ferruginea (Jack) Danser] is one type of plants from the Loranthaceae group. Mistletoe has secondary metabolites compound in the form of flavonoid, tannin, terpenoid and saponin which has antioxidant activity. This study aims to know fractions that have antioxidant activity, the class of compounds, and IC50 values antioxidant compounds of jengkol mistletoe leaves. The method used were extraction, liquid fractination method, vacuum liquid chromatography, column chromatography, thin layer chromatography, compounds classification, and determination of IC50 values with DPPH method. The results of the fraction activity test using TLC showed that n-hexane and ethyl acetat fractions had antioxidant activity better than methanol:water fraction. The result of purification of active compounds obtained 5 isolates of active compound. Isolate FH2.2. is terpenoid compounds, while isolate FE9.1.2; F10.2; FE10.1.1; and FE10.1.2. are flavonoid compounds. The result of antioxidant activity showed that IC50 values in isolates FE10.1.2, FE9.1.2, FE10.2 were 14.89 µg/mL, 17.14 µg/mL, and 22.35 µg/mL with strong antioxidant activity. IC50 value of FE10.1.1 isolate was 71.28 µg/mL with medium acivity and IC50 value of FH2.2 isolate was 101.21 µg/mL with weak antioxidant activity. The conclusion of this research were that the n-hexane fraction and ethyl acetat fraction of jengkol mistletoe have terpenoid and flavonoid compunds with antioxidant activity are strong, medium and weak.
