This study aims to examine the potential of using tofu dregs and coconut dregs in fermented rations as alternative feed to ayam kampung. This research was conducted for 4 weeks in the Laboratory of Animal Husbandry, Department of Animal Technology and Industry, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University. The livestock used were 80 ayam kampung age old 10 week. Basal ration made from corn, bran, concentrate as well as additional alternative fodder such as tofu and coconut dregs fermented with a mixture of EM4, brown sugar and water. The research design used in this study was a completely randomized design (CRD) consisting of 5 treatments and 4 replications. As a unit of variables: P0 (control), P1 (Use of 9% tofu dregs and 1% coconut dregs in fermented rations), P2 (Use 18% tofu pulp and 2% coconut dregs in fermented rations), P3 (Use 27% tofu dregs and 3% coconut dregs in fermented rations), P4 (Use 36% tofu dregs and 4% coconut dregs in fermented rations). The variables observed were final weight, carcass percentage, and income over feed cost. The data were analyzed with analysis of variance. The results showed of this study indicated that the use of tofu dregs and coconut dregs in fermented rations had not significantly affected on the final weight, carcass percentage, and income over feed cost of ayam kampung. The conclusions in this study indicate that the use of tofu dregs up to 36% and 4% coconut dregs in the fermentation ration of ayam kampung is able to produce the final weight, the same percentage of carcass as rations without the use of tofu and coconut dregs, and is able to generate income over feed.
