PENGEMBANGAN MEDIA PEMBELAJARAN PEMAHAMAN TEKS PROSEDUR BERBASIS APLIKASI POWTOON PADA PESERTA DIDIK KELAS VII SMP SRIJAYA NEGARA PALEMBANG
This study aims to (1) describe the results of the analysis of the needs of seventh grade students and teachers of SMP Srijaya Negara Palembang on the instructional media for understanding the powtoon application-based procedural text, (2) describe the design of the powtoon application-based procedural text understanding, (3) and describe the validation results expert on powtoon application-based learning media. This study uses a research method that refers to the modified Alessi & Trollip research and development model, namely (1) the planning stage, (2) the design stage, and (3) the development stage. Data collection techniques used in this research and development are interviews, questionnaires, and validation assessment sheets. Learning media for understanding the text of this procedure was developed based on the results of the analysis of the needs of students and teachers. The expert validation assessment consists of several aspects, namely media aspects, material aspects, and language aspects. The results of the validation of the media aspect obtained a score of 73 out of a total of 100 with a mean score of 3.65, the material aspect obtained a value of 39 out of a total of 45 with a mean score of 4.33, and the language aspect obtained a score of 18 out of a total of 20 with a mean score of 4.3. This shows that overall the learning media for understanding the text of the procedure based on the powtoon application are declared valid.
