Talang Aur Health Center is the health center with the highest incidence of diarrhea in Ogan Ilir Regency. Puskesmas Talang Aur is a puskesmas with an increasing number of diarrhea every year. The average coverage of the incidence of diarrhea at the age of 6-12 years is 94.11%. The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationship between the sanitary conditions of the home environment and the incidence of diarrhea at the age of 6-12 years in the work area of Talang Aur Health Center, Ogan Ilir Regency. This study uses a cross-sectional study design and cluster sampling techniques as many as 132 respondents aged 6-12 years. Data collection methods in this study were obtained from questionnaires and direct observation. Data analysis was performed univariately and bivariately using the chi-square test. The results showed the proportion of respondents aged 6-12 years affected by diarrhea (57.6%). Bivariate results show that the supply of clean water (p-value = 0.021), type of latrine (p-value = 0.005), quality of sewerage (p-value = 0.002), quality of trash (p-value = 0.019), and food processing (p-value = 0.035) which means that there is a relationship between the provision of clean water, types of latrines, the quality of sewerage water, the quality of waste bins, and food processing. The conclusion in this study is the most dominant variable, namely the supply of clean water and types of latrines. Preventive action should involve the participation of the community, health services, and the government in order to reduce the rate of diarrhea in the Talang Aur Health Center.
