The Public Health Center of Coral city ecologically has the potential natural resources of the sea are abundant because it is located on the coast. the incidence of stunting in the region work Public Health Center of Coral city reached 13% of the approximately 113 toddlers aged 24-59 months are stunted. The purpose of this study was to determine Parenting and Eating Patterns of Children Stunting in the Coastal Area in Teluk Betung Timur. Research design a qualitative, in-depth interviews, observation and document review. The number of informants in this study 8 the informant consists of 7 key informants were mothers of toddlers stunting age 24-59 months and 1 supporting informant that the Nutrition Executive Staff. Analysis techniques in the form of qualitative content analysis (Content analyisis). The results showed that the mother toddler stunting less understand how the processing of food. Toddler stunting less consume fish, the type of food that is not in accordance with the contents of my plate, the frequency of feeding a toddler stunting is still less appropriate, the environmental conditions are less adequate where landfills and waste disposal areas the end which is not closed, the condition of the latrines that are less healthy, behavior health maintenance toddler stunting and maternal toddler stunting is still lacking, there is no priority to eat, and have a low income. It can be concluded that parenting and eating patterns in toddler stunting is still lacking, and family characteristics such as income of the family influence the incidence of stunting. Suggestions of this study we recommend the Public Health Center of Coral city more often again provide nutrition education, increase the role of the mother in the care and feeding of children is very important. The necessity of the role of the mother in preventing the child to berjajan food that is not healthy, and the consciousness of the individual to keep the environment in order to remain healthy.
