This study entitled The Effect of the Intensity of Watching ETLE News on the Legal Conscious Behavior of the Traffic at the City of Central Jakarta. Watching intensity is the level in watching program shows on television. According to Ardianto, Elvinaro et al. (2007) indicators for measuring viewing intensity are frequency, duration and attention. Meanwhile, traffic law conscious behavior is an action taken by a person in order to implement a regulation not only knowing, but also needing to implement the rule without being forced. According to Kutschinky in Doly (2019), to measure legal awareness behavior, namely knowledge of legal regulations, knowledge of the content of legal regulations, attitudes towards legal regulations, and patterns of legal behavior. ETLE is an electronic-based ticketing system implemented by the Traffic Directorate. This study aims to determine how much influence the intensity of watching news and whether people's behavior becomes more aware of traffic laws. This research uses quantitative methods with descriptive and explanative techniques. The supporting theory used is the Cultivation Theory which focuses on the discussion on television media and audiences. The data used are in the form of primary data and secondary data obtained through the distribution of questionnaires and documentation carried out by vehicle owners in Central Jakarta in 2019. Based on data that has been analyzed descriptively and explanatively through simple linear regression, it is positive, namely 1.195. And the result of t count is greater than t table, namely, 9.316 ≥ 1.660. So that H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted.
