The incidence of Acute Respiratory Tract Infection (ISPA) is still one of the most common public health problems in the Ujan Mas Community Health Center, Muara Enim Regency. The research objective was to analyze the determinants of the incidence of Acute Respiratory Tract Infection (ISPA) in children under five in the Ujan Mas Public Health Center, Muara Enim Regency. This research is an observational research with a cross sectional approach. The sample of this research is toddlers aged (12-59) months, Puskesmas Ujan Mas has a total of 2522 toddlers under five with the number of ARI cases in toddlers as many as 64,4% toddlers who experience the incidence of ARI. The sampling technique was cluster sampling. Data analysis techniques are univariate and bivariate by doing the Chi square test and then presented in the form of tables to interpret the data. The results showed exclusive breastfeeding (p-value =0.023), nutritional status (p-value = 0.011), use of anti-mosquito coils (p-value = 0.003), presence of smoking family members (p-value = 0.029). Based on the results of the multivariate analysis, the variable use of anti-mosquito coils or spray was the most associated with the Prevalence Ratio 3.302 (95% CI: 1.189-9.170). It can be concluded that the variable use of mosquito repellent or spray is a supporting factor for the occurrence of ARI in toddlers due to the smoke produced from mosquito coils or spray can disrupt the respiratory system of toddlers if inhaled directly and exposed directly, causing the occurrence of ARI in toddlers.
