IMPLEMENTATION OF POLICY TO REDUCE THE USE PLASTIC BAGS IN THE CITY OF PALEMBANG Reducing the use of plastic bags is a way to minimize volume, distribution and use wisely, and gradually reduce dependence on plastic bags that are not environmentally friendly. This study aims to determine the implementation of the policy of reducing the use of plastic bags in Palembang, using the George C Edward III theory. This research uses descriptive qualitative method, while the data collection uses interview, documentation and observation techniques. The findings obtained in this study state that the inventory, zoning, formulation of an action plan in the implementation of the policy to reduce the use of plastic bags in Palembang City have not been optimal in implementing policies. To get optimal results on the Implementation of the Policy on Reducing the Use of Plastic Bags in Palembang City, what the government should do is to further improve the process of delivering information about the Policy on Reducing the Use of Plastic Bags in Palembang City. To achieve the implementation of policy, the city of Palembang government is more serious in implementing policies by conducting evaluations so that it can run as expected and contribute to reducing plastic bags in Palembang City.
