This study aims to knowing students’ perceptions of the application of the full day school system in SMP Negeri 1 Palembang, this study uses a quantitative approach with the sampling methods using the Probability sampling techniques, proportionate stratified random sampling type and data collection is done through documentation and questionnaire, based on the results of the study showed that students’ perceptions of the implementation of the full day school system in terms of learning motivation in SMP Negeri 1 Palembang was positive, where an average score of 83,32% ≥ 62,5% was obtained. The recapitulation was obtained from the average results of 82,78% full day school goal indicators, 81,87% full day school implementation procedure indicators, and 85,30% full day school excess indicators, thus the researchers drew the conclusion that students’ perceptions the implementation of the full day school system in SMP Negeri 1 Palembang is positive with an average score 83,32% due to the recaptulation results obtained by researchers through data analysis with a percentage interval of ≥ 62,5%. Where has been determined previously that a score 62,5% has a positive perception criteria, and score ≤ 62,5% have a negative perception criteria.
